WCEMS WHOLE BLOOD PROGRAM
Willacy County EMS is proud to announce the launch of our Whole Blood Program — a groundbreaking initiative that brings life-saving treatment directly to the scene of traumatic emergencies. In critical situations, especially those involving severe blood loss, minutes matter. Our frontline medics are now equipped to administer low-titer O whole blood in the field — the same type used in hospitals and on the battlefield. This program means: • Faster intervention • Improved survival rates • Critical care that begins before you reach the ER . This life-saving initiative is made possible through community support, regional collaboration, and our ongoing mission to bring cutting-edge emergency care to every resident of Willacy County. Blood drives will be hosted in Willacy County to give back to our community and help save lives.
